My definition of success on Medium — finding a writing community. I finally belong to the “cool kids” circle. Every time I hit publish on a post, I feel like I’ve accomplished something and this spurs me on to keep writing. It’s a platform, yes, but the feedback we receive here in the way of claps, comments, reads, is much more valuable to me than the money. Medium is a stepping stone for me, a way to stay in touch with readers and other writers, learn a little, and find inspiration. I’m grateful to the platform for connecting me to such wonderful writers that I count as friends.
