I can’t imagine being out in the dating world now. It’s a risk, opening yourself up to another person. But you’ll never know what might be if you don’t try. Divorced after 25 years I was sure I’d stay single the rest of my life. Then I met a guy, and I had a crazy hormone fueled romance, complete with late night texts and tear filled, angry emails. Like high school, but without a curfew. We broke up because he wanted to spend more time with his cat.

I signed up for OK Cupid, figuring I’d already been through the worst. After someone leaves you for their cat you develop a certain nonchalance about dating. I had a silly online conversation with a man, met him at a local park where our hiking date was interrupted by rain. I thought I’d never see him again. Well, he texted, we talked, we dated, and six years after that, last year in October, we got married.

Do what makes you happy, if you aren’t happy alone try Meetup, volunteer, sign up for online dating. You’re an amazing, talented human being who deserves joy. Wishing you love Tre L. Loadholt
